Today it was my turn to help out mom in cleaning out the tornado of a patio. Dozens of boxes of crap to go through. I picked out the things I absolutely had to keep and got rid of everything else in the boxes. Then mom went through them again. Out she pulls a tiny mermaid figurine. *gasppp!* “I got you this….” she says. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see it.” She hands it to me. I say, “Do you even remember where you got it?” She answers “No. [pause] It was a store….” Immediately I burst into a laugh. No, you mean you purchased this item, at a STORE?!

Maybe it was one of those ‘you had to be there’ moments. Luckily for me, I was.
